Can I copy the CDs?
All CD-ROMs are copyrighted. These copyrighted programs may not
be duplicated, loaned, leased, rented or given to anyone else without
permission, and should not be networked for public viewing purposes
outside of the purchaser's classroom or lab. Violators may be
prosecuted.
Can I network the CDs?
The interactive CD-ROMs are not sold for network use. The files
may become corrupted if multiple users hit the same files
simultaneously. MAVCC suggests that instructors use the programs
as designed and observe above copyright guidelines.
What
is the best way to describe this product?
An
interactive safety-training resource that provides audio, video,
quizzes, tests, and gives instant results on student performance.
Why
would administrators support the use of the CD-ROMs and videos?
Are there any legal aspects
to teaching safety in the classroom?
The
Carl Perkins Act requires we teach All Aspects of the Industry and "safety
" is one aspect. Accountability
is also important, and these programs provide this for safety training.
How
would you use the videos in a classroom…individual or group
instruction?
Both.
The CDs can be projected onto a large screen under the control
and supervision of the instructor. In a self-paced environment, students can complete the
training on their own. Student
performance is automatically recorded on the computer for instructors to
access.
